On April 5, 2016, I helped to organize a Canton of the Towers project in which we gathered to create toys and other items to fill the East Kingdom royal toy chest. Over a dozen people gathered. We made small felt and other toys, as well as cloth bags in which to put them. In many cases, we matched a toy to a story book. In addition to the toys, Peter and company also used the laser cutter to make small wooden throne kits that the children can put together. Here are some photos of the toy-making event.
We presented the basket full of toys to Their Royal Majesties at the following coronation. Here is the wording (by me) of the scroll that Zoe Lawson calligraphed for us for the presentation:
To their royal majesties on the occasion of their coronation, this chest of toys is given with great joy, that the youth of your kingdom may be entertained and encouraged to take their frolicking elsewhere.
This gift is presented by your loyal subjects of the Canton of the Towers,
in the Barony of Carolingia.
